1-Q What is Myanmar Visa On Arrival?

Ans.Pre-arranged visa on arrival was being practiced in Myanmar starting from 1st Sep 2010.

2-Q Which citizens can get visa on arrival?

Ans.For the time being, except below nationalities, the other nationalities can apply for pre-arranged visa on arrival.

4-Q Are there any fees for your service?

Ans. Yes. Official visa fee is 30 United States Dollars. The processing fees and documentation fees is 40 US$.

5-Q What do I need to give you to apply visa through your service?

Ans. You need to fill in Visa Application form (preferable the form at www.myanmarvisa.com and make sure you fill Flight No. and Hotel you are staying (or the address) correctly among other things.

6-Q Do we need to send our actual passports to you?

Ans. No. You do not need to send your passports at all but passport copy by email. Just send us the application form and passport copy by email or fax (+95 1 204020 or 381200).

7-Q Are there any fees for your service?

Ans. Yes. Official visa fee is 30 United States Dollars. The processing fees and documentation fees is 40 US$.

8-Q How can we pay?

Ans. You can pay by Paypal, Credit Card or bank transfer. You can also pay cash on arrival. Our staff will be at the Yangon Airport entrance to meet you and collect the fees. He or She will take care of all your entry procedure and you don’t have to wait in long queue.

9-Q How long will it take to get necessary documents from you?

Ans. It takes about 2 weeks. We start counting from the time we receive your form submission or application email. (There can be a time difference between sending email from your side and receiving on our side. You should make sure we receive your message.)

10-Q We heard that all Tourists have to pay 200 US$ to exchange into FEC (foreign exchange certificates) Is it true?

Ans. No. You don’t have to change 200 US$ into FEC anymore.

11-Q How can we do if we are going to arrive at Mandalay Airport?

Ans. The procedure is the same like in Yangon International airport. You can also get visa on arrival at Mandalay airport.

13-Q Could you advise me how much money a visitor may need for eating, fares, entry fees, souvenirs etc. for 15 days stay in Myanmar (apart from what I will pay for Accommodations and Airfares)?

Ans. Minimum meals cost is 6 US$/meals - Entrance Fees for most popular interesting places - 5 US$/place Bagan Archaeological Zone Fees - 10 US$ + 3 US$ Museum Entrance fees Souvenir and other shopping fares is depends on your demand - 200 ~300 US$ Normally 700 to 1000 US$ should be OK for 10 days tour. It depends on your life style, of course. If you intend to buy expensive gem stones (Burmese Ruby and Jade are famous), you might need more. 14-Q For obtaining Myanmar Business Visa, what are the documents required?

Ans. The most important documents are your passport, photos, endorsement letter from your company in Myanmar.

15-Q I have a flight from Bangkok to Yangon and I need a visa. Could I do it online?

16-Q How many days can I stay with the visa on arrival?

Ans. You can stay 28 days.

17-Q What are the new rules regarding over-staying?

Ans. It is the same as previous rules. You have to pay USD3 per day.

18-Q Hi I was born in Burma but I am Canadian passport holder. Can I get a visa on arrival (28days) at Yangon airport?

Ans. Yes. You can get it at the airport. If you are Burma born, you will be checked for black list prior to your visa approval at the airport.

20-Q Can I get double or multiple entry visa on arrival?

Ans. Visa On Arrival is for only single entry visa. For double or multiple entry, you have to go to Myanmar Embassy in your country.

21-Q I arrive in Yangon Airport, but I want to leave Myanmar to Mae Sai (Thailand border crossing). Should I just fill out the Visa on Arrival-form online and leave the "Departure Flight number" blank?

Ans. Yes. You can do. But to leave Myanmar by border pass, it is necessary to apply for permit. You have to mention your tour program in details and a local guide must be with you through the journey.
